19 Doodles

Here are the doodles I made the last two weeks.





When I'm in history I want to try and draw relevant things, but there are rarely pictures so I can only draw people I kind of know like Teddy












I finished this sketchbook, and very appropriately the last page was a trainwreck.


Not much else going on to say anything about, I'm trying to find time but I have so much work and school that I'm using most of the time I have off to just relax and read.

I started getting into regular comic books, so I've been using a lot of time on those since it's so far to drive and they're more expensive so I feel like I have to read them each a few times to get a good value. Right now I'm going through the Blackest Night (I know I'm super late), I bought a couple issues of Daytripper and Joe the Barbarian but I don't have the first issues so they're ordering them for me. I read Kevin Smith's Green Hornet, I'm not sure how I like it yet. I also bought First Wave the 10? issue series but I haven't read that yet, I don't even know what it's about. I'm also probably going to try and read one regular ongoing series (because those are all less than 12 issues)but I'm having a tough time picking between Green Lantern and Green Arrow who apparently just had or is about to have something major happen, but I might just go with the Flash instead since he was apparently just brought back after he died. I'm supplementing this with getting everything I can from the library to catch myself up.

You could totally skip that text, it's so boring.

Wow, I didn't realize how long it has been since I updated.
Anyways, I don't think I'm going to get near as much doodling in during school this semester, two of my classes are drawing classes so I have to draw what we're supposed to, and in English I'm writing all the time, which leaves history and time between for doodling, but here they are.













Here's some of my drawings from my animation class for our first project, we had to design an original character. My write up for him is awful, but I liked drawing these, I don't like coloring with cheap pencils though, but I didn't want the pencils to get mixed up with marker, and digital color wasn't an option.






In other news, I'm working on a longer comic, but I keep running into time problems because I put off doing schoolwork for the last minute. I'm also still trying to figure out what happens next in Elle and Jelle, I printed a test copy of the first part, and it looks nice, but I want it to be a finished story before I try to sell it.

I feel really tired, so I'm just going to post this.

Doodles Again

So I haven't posted doodles in a while, but with school back in I'm actually doing more. I don't know why I didn't do that many during my time off, but these first few are from that time:







These are from Tuesday, during which I had classes that I could draw in.

I need to stop drawing James Kochalka's Elf, but it's hard when I'm re-reading the comic all morning.


Then just one page from today, classes were more restricted so I drew in-between.
More sketches soon, hopefully I'll have something to share from my Basic Animation Class soon.

Elle And Jelle

So I've been working on this since early November and going very slowly, but finally I'm finished, this is my first completed (although very miniature and only the first half) comic! It's only half as long as it was intended to be and I took twice as long to do this half, so hopefully I'll make the second part soon and in less time.

I'm working on a print version for myself and giving away to friends and maybe mailing to some cartoonists to get advice, would anyone be interested in buying one? It'd probably be 2-3$ shipped (in U.S.) depending on how much printing is (it'll be halftone instead of red for the glasses).
